She sits silently, contemplating her choice of words. The first impression is the most crucial. She knows this. The excitement bubbling through her veins makes her long to cry out, or jump, or do something spontaneous.
But she sits.
Thinking of the right words and the context she will put them in.
She finds it hard to express herself through speech. But written words, well, they were always her thing.
So why is this so hard?
Is it because she chose to make her first journal entry in 3rd person, not doubt eliciting eyebrows to raise?
Or is it because she heard that speaking in the 3rd person is a sign of insanity?
She laughs.
Questionable sanity was always a thing with her. She could be the most calm, collected person in the room, and the next minute be on a screaming rampage.
Oh, her sanity was not to be reckoned with.
She taps her foot to the beat of the song, thanking whatever higher being there was for Patrick Stump's heavenly voice.
Reading over the previous line, she wonders if this is really how she wants to portray herself. As a Patrick Stump loving freak who likes to write in the 3rd person, has speech problems and 5 second mood swings.
She smirks.
Maybe.
She's not entirely sure why she chose to even submit a journal entry. But a part of her feels like she wants to show herself to the world. Besides, there's not much else she could do while waiting for her base layer of paint to dry so she could work ontop of it.
Why had she chosen to work with watercolor on an art project that was pretty much taking up her life?
And why had she chosen to do a piece that was 6 by 1 metres?
And why, in God's name, was Kandinsky so hard to replicate?
Arguing with her conscience, she hesitatingly concludes that an A in art is much more important than a journal entry.
She rereads what she wrote, pausing to wonder if much of it will make sense to anybody.
She sighs.
Oh, the first impression is the most crucial.
